Specific projects must, of course, add to, deleteand otherwise tailor the procedures to conform with theirneeds, objectives, and contractual requirements. That isparticularly true of safety issues or workaround operationalmethods. Although software analysis is outside the scope ofan FMEA, the effects of failure modes at both software andhardware-software interfaces are included.
