• The 100 seats in the Senate, and all 460 seats of the Sejm

Government Structure:

• Chief of State: President Andrzej Duda (since 2015)
• Head of Government: Prime Minster Mateusz Morawiecki (since 2017)
• Assembly: Poland has a bicameral Parliament consisting of the Senate with 100 seats and the Sejm with 460 seats.

Electoral System:

• The President is elected by absolute majority vote through a two-round system to serve a 5-year term.  If a candidate receives more than 50% of votes in the first round, there is no second round.
• The Prime Minister is appointed by the president with the approval of the Sejm.
• In the Sejm, 460 members are elected through an open-list proportional representation system to serve 4-year terms. Members of the Sejm are elected through a proportional open list system from 41 multi-member constituencies[1].
• The Senate consists of 100 senators elected for 4 years by direct universal suffrage, by secret ballot, in single-member constituencies.
