Job Description

  • The Book & Media Review Editor is a member of the ESA and serves on the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Anaesthesiology.
  • The Book & Media Review Editor manages the commissioning and critical review of traditional text books and any other media related to the practice of anaesthesia, perioperative medicine, acute and chronic pain, intensive care medicine and resuscitation submitted to the journal for review.

Responsibilities

  • Identify books and additional multimedia content (electronic materials, teaching videos, etc.) to review, and obtain copies from the publishers if necessary.
  • Write and submit reviews on the material previously identified.
  • Identify reviewers to submit reviews on the material previously identified and solicit review submissions.
  • Provide editorial review and feedback to the reviewers of the book and media reviews.
  • Provide guidance to the reviewers when revisions are required.
