The Glaswegian comic's first solo series falls below 1m viewers on Channel 4 on Tuesday evening.

The first solo series from Glaswegian comic Frankie Boyle slipped below 1m viewers on Tuesday evening, according to overnight audience data.

Frankie Boyle's Tramadol Nights averaged 980k (4.7%) for Channel 4 from 10pm, down 380k week-on-week. A further 159k (1.4%) watched the show an hour later.

On ITV1,Tonight: The Ice Storm was seen by a combined audience of 4.93m (20%) from 7.30pm. Later,Coronation Street: 50 Years, 50 Moments brought in 5.68m (22.7%) in the 9pm hour.

The One Show appealed to 5.46m (23.5%) on BBC One from 7pm, beforeHolby City fetched 3.9m (14.6%) in the 8pm hour, down 2m week-on-week.Turn Back Time: The High Street mustered 4.15m (16.6%) from 9pm.

On Channel 4,Kirsty and Phil's Perfect Christmas grabbed 1.68m (6.3%) in the 8pm hour and 249k (1%) on +1.The Family continued with 830k (3.3%) from 9pm and 134k (0.7%) on timeshift. Later, new comedyThe Morgana Show amused 710k (4.6%) from 10.30pm and 81k (1%) an hour later.

Live coverage of snooker's UK Championship mustered 960k (4%) on BBC Two from 7pm, beforeNatural World Special: Panda Makers pulled in 1.98m (7.4%) in the 8pm hour.The Foods That Makes Billions educated 1.41m (5.6%) in the 9pm hour andMiranda appealed to 1.32m (6.2%) from 10pm.

Channel 5'sStreet Market Chefs entertained 402k (1.6%) from 7.30pm. It was followed bySea Patrol UK, which thrilled 784k (2.9%).CSI: Miami andCSI: NY grabbed respective audiences of 2.13m (8.5%) and 1.35m (7%) from 9pm.

Overall, ITV1 won primetime with 26.1% against BBC One's 20%. BBC Two came in third with 5.8%, followed by Channel 5 with 4.8% and Channel 4 with 4.6% (+1: 0.6%).

Elsewhere, a new episode ofThe Vampire Diaries grabbed 415k (1.7%) on ITV2 and 151k (0.8%) an hour later. ITV4's highlights coverage of England's emphatic victory in the second test of the Ashes was watched by 718k (3.8%) in the 10pm hour.

However, the biggest multichannel audience of the night went to a screening ofTransformers, which pulled in 761k (4%) on Film4 from 9pm.
