WELCOME
The Department of Public Works provides foundational support for the daily activities of the community. The Department is responsible for the planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and management of streets, sidewalks, parks, playgrounds, school grounds, public grounds, cemeteries, conservation areas, water distribution and sewer/stormwater collection systems, street lights, signage, and signalization. The Department manages the collection and disposal of solid waste and recycling, snow and ice management, emergency response, urban forestry, environmental regulatory compliance, inspectional services, technical project review, land plan management, and fleet maintenance services to Town departments.
