Picture
The BBHC, in North Braddock, Pa., stands on the very ground where theBattle of the Monongahela — better known as “Braddock’s Defeat” — took place.  It is the most widely recognized battle of the French and Indian War (1754-1763) which developed into the first world-wide great powers conflict, the Seven Years’ War (1756-63).  This battle was crucial to the military education of a young George Washington and helped inform his destiny as commander of the Continental Army in the American Revolution.
