How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2014Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseThis obscure, out-of-print book. Hmm...If you liked Edward Tufte's information design books, you will be treated to a book-length, intense visual-information fest. The book is chock full of meticulously crafted two-color illustrations accompanied by lucid text. A sense of accountability to the readers pervades it. The author, editor and illustrator are working hard to inform readers—rather than simply throwing them tidbits of cool math problems. The care given to produce such an affordably priced math-science publication was alone worth my money.
