The encoder is capable of creatingH.264AVC andMPEG-2BD compliant video streams which are compatible withBD-ROM and BD-R/RE formats, as well asDVD.

Blu-Code software offers MPEG-2 encoding faster than real time, at 0.7X realtime as well as extremely fast2-passVBR encoding using proprietary algorithms.
