ACM's events mirror the state-of-the-art in their respective fields and attract renowned experts from around the globe.
Our conferences, workshops and symposia unite innovators like you to push computing technology forward and to continue the legacy that unites us as like-minded thinkers and makers.
The open exchange of ideas and the freedom of thought and expression are central to the aims and goals of ACM and its conferences. These aims and goals require an environment that recognizes the inherent worth of every person and group, that fosters dignity, understanding, and mutual respect, and that embraces diversity.
ACM is firmly committed to prohibiting discrimination at its conferences against individuals because of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, marital status religion, national origin, ancestry, or disability. All individuals are entitled to participate in any ACM activity free of discrimination, including harassment based on any of the above factors.
ACM is concerned about discriminatory legislation in various locations and will work with conference organizers to best address location related issues.
Volunteer commitment and coordination is the foundation that makes an ACM conference successful. ACM provides a comprehensive planning guide with instructions and best practices to help create the best possible event.
The International ACM SIGIR Conference on Research and Development in Information Retrieval is the premier international forum for the presentation of new research results and for the demonstration of new systems and techniques in information retrieval. Workshops and tutorials include "Large Language Model for Evaluation in IR," "Algorithmic Bias in Search and Recommendation," "Explainability in Information Retrieval," and more. Keynote speakers are Ophir Frieder (Georgetown University), Iryna Gurevych ( Technical University of Darmstadt), and Stephen Robertson (Girton College). The event is being held in Padua, Italy.
The Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference presents the latest high-quality results in genetic and evolutionary computation. Tutorials and workshops include "Industrial Applications of Metaheuristics," "Evolutionary Computation for the Automated Design of Algorithms," "Large Language Models for and with Evolutionary Computation," "Evolutionary Rule-based Machine Learning," "Techniques in Evolutionary Optimization," "Evolutionary Computing and Explainable AI," and more. Keynote speakers will be Maria Amparo Alonso Betanzos (CITIC-University of A Coruña), Javier Del Ser (TECNALIA), and Marc Schoenauer (INRIA). The conference is being held in Malaga, Spain.
The Learning at Scale community investigates large-scale, technology-mediated learning environments that typically have many active learners and few experts on hand to guide their progress or respond to individual needs. Workshops and tutorials include A/B Testing and Platform-Enabled Learning Engineering," "Advancing the Science of Teaching with Tutoring Data," "Learnersourcing: Student-generated Content," and more. Keynote speakers are Chris Piech (Stanford University) and Olga Viberg (KTH). The event will be held in Palermo, Italy.
The SIGKDD Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining brings together researchers and practitioners from data science, data mining, knowledge discovery, large-scale data analytics, and big data. Workshops and tutorials will include “Causal Inference and Machine Learning in Practice,” “Machine Learning in Finance,” “AI for Enterprise: Emerging Applications and Real-world Challenges,” "Inference Optimization for Generative AI," and more. Keynote speakers will be 2024 ACM Chuck Thacker Award Recipient Jason Cong (UCLA), Caroline Uhler (Broad Institute), and Dan Roth (University of Pennsylvania). The conference will be held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The Special Interest Group on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques is the premier conference and exhibition on computer graphics and interactive techniques. Here, we boldly look toward the future, imagining how humanity and technology will be increasingly connected and examining how we can create a future that connects our physical and digital worlds for the better. Keynote speakers are Mike Haley, Maurice Patel, and Nikola Todorovic (Autodesk), and Anjali Tripathi (Astrophysicist) . The event will be held in Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada.
