A key benefit of AAAS membership is the ability to join up to three AAAS Sections. Sections are dynamic communities where Members represent their discipline or interest areas in cross-disciplinary conversation and collaboration in service to the AAAS mission and vision.
Responsible for the nomination and review ofAAAS Honorary Fellows and symposia proposals for the AAAS Annual Meeting, each Section has a steering committeecomprised of nine leaders: chair, nominations/leadership development chair, membership engagement chair, secretary, early career representative, non-academic representative, council member, and two members-at-large.
AAAS Members may join up to three Sections.
