<report >The main problem with this VN is that there is a severe lack of conflict/confrontation between the MC and his wife.
The entire plot is dependant on the MC being completely passive.
The MC literally receives a video of his wife being raped at an early point in the story and does nothing. Doesn't confront his wife, doesn't seek help, doesn't take the initiative, nothing. So what do you think this does to the overall enjoyment of the story from hereon?
If you guessed - "We try to guess which excuse next the writers will pull from their ass as to why the MC does nothing once again" - congratulations.
We the readers are left waiting for the inevitable confrontation and collapse of relationship which never really happens.
If the writers were going to have the MC do nothing, why show the infidelity at such an early point?

The main character is heavily apologetic with traditionalist values, which means he never gets angry/sad/vindictive/etc, essentially robbing him of his negative emotions, or voices his concern which makes him feel stunted at times. There are a lot of internal monologues but these will never translate to dialogue in the narrative.
This would be okay for a shorter novel, but for something of this length, there's not enough here.

The sex scenes involving Touka and Kanemori, whilst interesting at first become incredibly arduous after the third time. Incredibly long and repetitive, you will begin to loath them by the end when they involve the same setup and copy-paste writing. If you believed you had seen the last of these when you finished the main story, think again, because you will still need to sit through another 15 or so during Touka's point of view.

Coming back to the main point, one of the best scenes in the visual novel is when the characters actually confront their feelings in route A, after learning of Toukas pregnancy and she breaks down during that sex scene.

Hirasaka was a pointless character that does nothing. You could have just left him out of the story and nothing would have changed. The only time he is involved in the plot, it's just offscreen'd, further making you ask why.

I did like the overall theme and how there were no good routes/their lives were perpetually changed from this event, but I wish it was backed up by better writing. The writers don't really have a goal apart from "Make the MC look pathetic" and "Touka's corruption". If there was some sort of message here, for example about moving on, perhaps it could have been different.

<report >No, the main problem with this VN is that all sex is rape, and dialogues in sex scenes are non-existent, the wife just screams the same way all the time. As far as I remember, at least, maybe there is some corruption and scenes where she is willing to fuck the netori guy at the end. Confrontation and collapse of the relationship are almost never the point of netorare though. At its core it is a porn for those with ntr fetish, not a proper drama or tragedy.Last modified on 2020-06-10 at 12:03
