I was really taken by David's style, watched all of his Instagram clips and reached out to complement him and see if he might want to work on a piano arrangement. What followed was a long and fruitful collaboration - an open invitation to for David to explore my catalogue and tackle what he liked, and a whole lot of back and forth as we refined and honed in on an eclectic set of piano arrangements.

After recording with the exceptionally talented pianist Augustine Mayuga Gonzales, I wanted to find a unique sonic treatment for the record. Typically concert piano albums are kept bare, but I thought it would be interesting to delve into production experiments, so I reached out to my longtime colleague Matt Powell to mix and help produce the record.

We think the result is a uniquely fun piano album, and we hope you enjoy it!"
