I own a 1998 Ford Taurus SHO (VIN: 1FAFP54N9WA241184), which I leased new andthen purchased at lease end. This is the fourth consecutive new vehicle that Ipurchased from Ford and financed through Ford Credit.
I am gravely concerned about the recent rash and rapidly increasing number ofcam failures in 1996-1999 SHOs, as my SHO has just turned 50,000 miles. Pleaseissue a recall to replace the possibly defective cam sprockets, etc., or offerreplacement parts for installation at my local Ford dealership, so that I mayavoid experiencing a camshaft failure and irreversible engine damage to my SHO.
