The content of each is made into an eBook through Lulu's publishing service and sold in several eBook stores.
In this global society, many Japanese creators in various fields have a strong desire torelease their works in English. With the continuous decrease in the number of book sales in Japan since 1996, Japanese publishing companies resorted to overselling books and even authors, desperately seeking a fluke. As a result, hundreds of thousands of authors are still out there struggling in the morass of a vicious circle.
To make matters worse, we're afraid that the English language ability of Japanese people is at almost the worst level that one might find in developed countries. In addition, with insufficient Japanese to English translators in Japan, many outstanding works by Japanese are fading away and remain undiscovered by English-speaking readers.
Stuck in this somber situation, some creators with a serious desire to try their chances in the English world have gathered under a flag―THIS flag. Thus, we have initiated the project, The BBB.
Our name,The BBB: Breakthrough Bandwagon Books, embodies our original intention and ambition:
Like sushi and kaiseki cuisines, both of which Japanese are justly proud of, although the size of each of our works is very small, we put into them as much technique and philosophy as possible, with our love and gratitude for the people we have encountered in the world. We now respectfully tender our works to you.
