Install Typora via Snap

Typora provides aSnap installer, which you can install via the command line:

snapinstalltypora

Or simply clickthis link to install it from the Desktop Store.

The Snap version supports both x64 and ARM architectures.

If you do not have Snap installed, please follow the instructions athttps://snapcraft.io/docs/installing-snapd to enable Snap support.

Limitations of the Snap version

• The Snap version is sandboxed.
• The Snap version only has access to your home folder (~/) and removable media (/media).
• The Snap version cannot execute binaries located in/usr/bin/ and/usr/local/bin because it only has access to your home folder (source).
  • The Snap version includes Pandoc, which can be used by Typora but remains isolated from your system.
  • If you need to run other commands, such as exporting files or uploading images, you must install, move, or link those binaries inside your home folder (~/).
