Aviewscreen, also known as aholoscreen,[1]display screen,[2] orvidscreen,[3] was a device for displaying images or information for the view of an audience.[1] The main component of a viewscreen was the alloytransparisteel, which was made of theminerallommite.[4]
TheTrade Federation used rippling circular viewscreens aboard itsLucrehulk-class battleships.[5]Darth VaderForce chokedAdmiralKendal Ozzel at a great distance while seeing him through a viewscreen.[6] Pentagonal viewscreens were common in theGalactic Empire, as exemplified by those aboard thefirst[7] andsecond Death Star,[8] aboard the theSuper Star DestroyerExecutor,[6] and in theshield generator bunker onEndor.[8]
