Velcar Free Commerce Zone

TheVelcar Free Commerce Zone (FCZ) was a economic zone within theVelcar sector in theOuter Rim Territories under the oversight byCommerce Master Commissioners representing business interests. Many primitivespecies inhabited theplanets, and were essentiallyenslaved as indentured laborers. During thereign of theGalactic Empire, it was located inOversector Outer, and was under the influence of firstGrand MoffWilhuff Tarkin, then his successor,Ardus Kaine.

In4 ABY, Kaine held a series oftalks with the leaders of the Commerce Zone, along with neighboring political, military, and business leaders. At the end of the talks, atreaty was signed forming thePentastar Alignment. The Velcar Free Commerce Zone was absorbed into the new government. The Alignment eventually collapsed and was annexed by theImperial Remnant.
