AfemaleSithwitch participated in theSith rebellion alongside theDark Lord. Thewitch resurrected thedead before they could jointhe Force, making them fight for the Sith in anarmy ofSith demons. The Dark Lord betrayed the witch, renounced the Sith, and became known as the Ronin.[1]
At some point, the Sith witch gavebirth to a daughter,Mirahi, who wasfathered by the Ronin. However, neither parent raised their child; the Ronin was not aware of her existence, and the witch had joined herself with theplanetRei'izu.[1]
The Sith witch was rumored to be active in thetime after the Sith rebellion. According to the tales, battlefields would no longer leave bodies due to the witch's sorcery.[1]

The Sith witch appeared inRonin: A Visions Novel,[1] a tie-in to the2021Star Wars: Visions short film "The Duel," which was written byEmma Mieko Candon and published in the same year.[2] According to Candon, the character was based on Princess Takiyasha,[3] daughter ofTaira no Masakado (10th century) who, according to the fictionalized account in Santō Kyōden's 1807 novelThe Story of Utō Yasutaka, summons a giant skeleton against her father's killer after gaining magical powers from a mountain hermit.[4] An earlier version of the story had the witch based onYama-uba, a figure in Japanese folklore.[5]
