Amaintenance droid worked aboard the luxurycruiserSteady Wing during theHigh Republic Era. While theSteady Wing was on theplanetHaileap, themaintenance droid encountered theNihilmarauderKlinith Da, who was disguised as amechanic in order to orchestrate thedestruction of thestarship, in theescape pod bay. Thedroid refused to follow Da's orders to disable the escape pods' systems, and the marauder destroyed it with ahydrospanner.

During theHigh Republic Era, themaintenance droid served aboard the luxurylinerSteady Wing.[2] In around232 BBY,[1]Steady Wing was at the outpost ofPort Haileap on theplanetHaileap prior to carrying aDalnan delegation to theStarlight Beaconspace station, thedroid was working in theescape pod bay. TheNihilmarauderKlinith Da, disguised as amechanic, entered the bay in order to disable the escape pods as part of a plot todestroy theSteady Wing, and the droid stopped uponher entrance.[2]
The droid asked if Da was there to sign off on the escape pods, and she ordered the droid to take out their communications and navigation systems, claiming the pods needed to be upgraded. Processing her command, the droid declared that it had no such instructions and that it had to update its feeds to receive new ones. Da picked up a nearbyhydrospanner and repeatedly hit the droid, smashing it into pieces.[2]

A small box-shaped unit, the maintenance had severalarms that stuck out at various angles and moved around by rolling. The droid could only follow instructions if they had been received on its feeds.[2]
