Tom Kane (bornApril 15,1962)^[1] is a retiredAmerican voice actor who had worked on manyStar Wars productions, including films, television, and video games. He often served as a voice double forAdmiral Ackbar,C-3PO, andYoda, previously voiced byErik Bauersfeld,Anthony Daniels, andFrank Oz in the films. Most notably, he had multiple recurring roles in theStar Wars: The Clone Wars television series (2008–2020), not only voicing Yoda but also as the show's newsreel narrator andAdmiral Yularen.

OnDecember 30, 2020, Kane's daughter, Sam disclosed that her father had suffered a left-sided stroke inOctober that left him with right-sided weakness and damage to the speech center of his brain. Kane has been undergoing speech, occupational, and physical therapy as treatment for his injuries. However, he has been informed by his neurologists about concerns that he may have to retire from voice-overs.^[3]
