TheTico family was ahuman family that lived on theplanetHays Minor inthe galaxy'sOtomok system for three generations. Beginning withStorm andEtta, their sonHue Tico andhiswifeThaynaraised two daughters,Paige andRose Tico. The Tico sisters ultimately fled from theirhomeworld during theCold War between theFirst Order and theNew Republic. Having witnessed the First Order's methods, they joined a private military group, theResistance, founded byGeneralLeia Organa to oppose the neo-Imperial movement.

History[]

The Ticos werehumans from theplanetHays Minor in theOtomok system ofthe galaxy.[1] Among the first settlers of Hays Minor wereStorm andhiswife,Etta.[2] Their son,Hue Tico, married a woman namedThanya, who gavebirth to two daughters,Paige Tico and her younger sisterRose Tico.[1]

During theCold War of theNew Republic Era, theFirst Order—a successor to theGalactic Empire in all but name[8]—used Hays Minor as a testing ground for weapons and alsoconscripted the localyouth into theranks of theStormtrooper Corps.[9] Appalled by the First Order's actions,[5] the Tico sisters fled from theirhomeworld and joined theResistance,[10][11] a paramilitary organization founded byGeneralLeia Organa.[12] By thetime of theFirst Order-Resistance War, Paige was aResistance navygunner while Rose worked as astarshipmechanic.[5]
