History[]

During theGalactic Civil War, theGalactic Empire'sMoffSakai governed the sector. TheAlliance to Restore the Republic assigned an eliteRebelSpecForce team,Reekeene's Roughnecks, to wage a military campaign against Sakai. The Roughnecks destroyed more than 872,000,000 tons of Imperial equipment, and one of theships,Reekeene's Retribution, made 1,200 armed attacks against Sakai's forces. However, after one particular multi-ship raid on an Imperial fort in Thuris sector, theRetribution was infiltrated by Imperial agents and lost.^[3]

During theyear1 ABY, rogue ImperialCommanderRezi Soresh hid in theSixela system. There he established anoutpost on abarren moon. After capturing theArkanian colony vesselEndeavor, Soresh used the people on board as hostages to lure the RebelpilotLuke Skywalker to the system in order toturn him into his personal assassin. Skywalker wastortured for two weeks. Soresh also used a brainwashed spy to lure theAlliance Fleet to thestar system. ContactingDarth Vader viahologram, Soresh ensured theSith Lord would arrive at the same time as the Rebelfleet. When the opposing fleets arrived, Soreshsprung his trap, launching prototyperesonance torpedoes at the system'sBlue giantstar. Skywalker betrayed Soresh and freed hiscompanions, who participated in the battle until the torpedoes hit the sun and started a chain reaction, forcing the Rebels and Imperials to escape. Soresh waskilled byHan Solo near the end of the battle. The system was turned into dust andradiation when the sun wentsupernova.^[4]

Prior to137 ABY, during theSecond Imperial Civil War, the sector fell under control ofDarth Krayt andhis Sith Empire. The sector was most likely liberated following the death of theSith Lord and his empire's fall atCoruscant.
