Plot summary[]
AboveFondor abattle raged between theNew Republic and theGalactic Empire. The Republic'sShepherd Squadron entered the battle and targeted theInterdictor-class heavy cruiser,Spectral. Thepilots called in and prepared for their attack.
Onboard theSpectral, anImperial officer reported toAdmiralEktol Traz thatVice AdmiralRae Sloane had ordered all thestarships to retreat toJakku. But Traz refused to leave, only doing so when the battle was over. He then ordered for all of hisTIE fighters to be deployed.
As theImperial Starfighter Pilots raced through the ship, theKX-series security droid,K-8Z8 ordered the guards to help him guard the ship while the battle raged on.
Shepherd Squadron charged at the incoming TIE fighters as the battle ensued.LieutenantBak Rychuk followedCaptainYancee Drai but then she waskilled by a TIE fighter. Rychuk then charger towards theSpectral knowing that the TIE fighters would not fire on their own ship. TheSpectral prepared to jump tohyperspace as Rychuk's fellow pilots warned him to pull away. But then theSpectral blasted off into hyperspace, taking Rychuk with them.
