- "Your mastery of the Force is not as strong as some of us, but your devotion is second to none."

Tekli was afemaleChadra-FanJedi Knight of theNew Jedi Order, who was apprenticed toMasterCilghal. She was among the most skilledJedi healers in the Order and served during theYuuzhan Vong War and theDark Nest Crisis. Later, Tekli was a member ofJaina Solo's covert group ofJedi known asDarkmeld, which actively worked againstChief of StateNatasi Daala's attempts to take control of the Jedi Order.
Biography[]
The Yuuzhan Vong War[]

Tekli during theYuuzhan Vong War.
After theBattle of Duro, Tekli assisted her master in theEclipse Project and in helping form theGreat River.
While not as strong inthe Force as the otherJedi in her class, she was one of seventeen Jedi members on theMyrkr strike team, and was instrumental in keeping the team alive through her healing techniques. She survived the mission, and was made an officialJedi Knight in a ceremony onMon Calamari some four years into the conflict. Thereafter, she was part of the team that went to search for the livingplanetZonama Sekot. During that journey, it was Tekli's healing abilities that helped saveAdmiralPellaeon's life following theBattle of Bastion. During her trip onLuke Skywalker's task force to find Zonama Sekot, Tekli developed an ability which allowed her to read someone's life signs through the Force, enhancing both her healing prowess and her abilities as a Jedi.
During theBattle of Yuuzhan'tar, Tekli was one of many Jedi who defended the world from theYuuzhan VongWarmasterNas Choka and theAlpha Red bioweapon. After the war, Tekli opted to stay on Zonama Sekot, where she eventually became aMagister-in-training.
The Dark Nest[]
In35 ABY, Tekli and the other surviving members of the Myrkr strike team disappeared into theUnknown Regions to investigate a mysterious summoning through the Force. This summoning led them to aid a species known asKilliks who had found themselves embroiled in a border dispute with theChiss Ascendancy. In addition, prolonged exposure to the Killik's caused one to become aJoiner, as it did to the former members of the strike team.
When Luke Skywalker and company found the group, they were tested by Cilghal in theJedi Academy onOssus to determine what was causing the Jedi Knights to act asJoiners. Tekli later attended theConclave on Ossus where she decided to stay a Jedi. Tekli,Tesar Sebatyne andLowbacca were Joiners much likeZekk andJaina Solo, but not to the extent that they could read each others thoughts and feel the others emotions.
She along withTesar Sebatyne andLowbacca were exiled toDagobah tomeditate on their actions regardingRaynar Thul, who at the time was known as UnuThul and still thought dead by his mother,Aryn Dro Thul. They overheard the Masters discussing battle tactics, one of those beingassassinating Raynar. Upon discovering that Aryn Thul possessed theonly droid left that could fixR2-D2, they went to inform her of both her son's survival and the assassination plan.WhenGrand MasterLuke Skywalker and his wife,Jedi MasterMara Jade Skywalker, went to to buy the droid that would fix Artoo, they were both shocked and outraged that any Jedi would divluge such information. However, the two kept their calm, and Aryn Dro Thul agreed to give them the droid if they promised to do everything within their power not to kill her son. It is unknown how long the three were made to stay on the planet, but the were back in time to help finish the three way war between the Killiks, Chiss, and Galactic Alliance. Later, she was on board theMegador with her former Master during the attack on theDark Nest.

Jedi Knight Tekli.
UnlikeZekk andJaina Solo, Tekli was only partially affected by her exposure to the Killiks, and while she sympathized with their cause, she did not come into conflict with theMasters' Council to the extent they did.
Political tensions[]
In43.5 ABY, the relationship of the Jedi Order and the Galactic Alliance reached a breaking point.Chief of StateNatasi Daala, who achieved power following theSecond Galactic Civil War, fostered an anti-Jedi sentiment which culminated in the arrest ofGrand Master Luke Skywalker; who was then exiled and replaced byKenth Hamner.
Tekli disapproved of Daala's blatant bid to take control of the Order, and as such, joined Jaina Solo's covert group,Darkmeld, which sought to undermine the Chief of State's efforts. In this capacity, she helped to alert the group toSeff Hellin's plan to freeValin Horn from prison. This led to the Darkmeld memberscapturing him and beginning the process of studying the strangeForce disease that plagued him, in the hopes of discovering a cure.
Following the apprehension ofNatua Wan at theCoruscant Livestock Exchange and Exhibition by the Solos and fellow Jedi KnightRadd Minker, a report byJavis Tyrr revealed that the New Jedi Order had secretly been keeping Seff Hellin locked up in the lower levels of theJedi Temple. Infuriated, Daala issued a series of demands to acting Grand Master Kenth Hamner, who had no knowledge of Hellin's presence inside the Temple. As part of the deal struck between Daala and Hamner, the Jedi conspirators of Darkmeld were unveiled and punished, including Tekli, who was forced to give a live interview discussing her role in the incident.
Shortly after that, Tekli took a human male namedJosat as her Padawan. He worked as a nurse for her while working on his force healing abilities. She would assign physical conditioning (such as running laps) as punishment for failure to learn his assignments.

Tekli
Tekli's PadawanJosat was assigned to see if theHorn Jedi were in fact cured of theirForce psychosis, he talked and talked through the whole testing that the Jedi were going under, he'd ask a question the tell them not to answer. He did a good job.
Jedi Leaving Coruscant[]
Tekli was one of the Jedi that leftCoruscant atGrand MasterLuke Skywalker's order, they retreated to their secret base somewhere and began learning how to fool theSith who had taken overCoruscant.
Liberation of Coruscant[]
Tekli went withRaynar Thul andLowbacca to find theKillikThuruht nest to find out more aboutAbeloth.
After the Sith were dealt with theSenate askedThe New Jedi Order to leaveCoruscant, and after a meeting with theJedi High Council they agreed to leave but said they would always be willing to help.
