Wroshyr trees[]

The article states that the wroshyr trees are native to Kashyyyk. In KotOR the Jolie Bindo said that the trees aren't native to Kashyyyk and it was also later stated that the trees were a result from the Rakatan terraformation that was left unattended. So shouldn't the article be changed stating that they are non native?--Darth Malus

Jolee theorized that they may not have been native based on the terraforming computers records, but the whole thing used indefinite language to keep it up in the air.IthinkIwannaLeia 03:14, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Carnivore[]

Wikipedia states that these trees are carnivorous. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so, what is the source of this?131.111.8.99 23:56, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

I have never seen anything to support this fact (but while my knowledge is considerable, it is by no means complete :) There were two different carnivorous plants mentioned in "Young Jedi Knights: Darkest Knight." They included theSyren plant, and an unnamed carnivorous vine plant. This spiked vine plant grew on the wroshyr branches (as do most other kashyyk plants) and ripped up the young jedi in one scene. Perhaps the wikipedia article writer thought that this plant was actually part of the wroshyr trees. I think it would be safe to delete that part from the wikipedia article. If he doesn't have sources behind that statement, it should be erased anyway.IthinkIwannaLeia 03:14, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

One big organism[]

Does anyone know which book talks about how the branches of different trees merge with one another and how it is a symbol of unity, and how it may be because all the trees are actually one big organism (like that giant rose bush grove out in the south west)? I remember reading it with absolute clarity but can't remember the exact book. It was in one of the very first expanded universe books I ever read...perhaps it was theStar Wars Encyclopedia orThe Courtship of Princess Leia. I know it is out there, If anyone can help, please add some sources on this article.IthinkIwannaLeia 03:18, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Legends/Canon[]

I've noticed something besides the KotOR reference, saying the trees aren't native to Kashyyyk. Although that's technically in the Legends camp now, the fact that we see the trees in RotS (and Clone Wars?) makes them official canon, as well. So should there be two separate pages, one for the Legends information and one for the Canon information?107.188.163.6 23:19, January 27, 2015 (UTC)Jeff Diamond

  • There should be, and this is the talk page for the Legends version. If there's no Canon version for a subject that exists in canon, then it means simply that somebody hasn't created it yet, unless' there's nothing in canon that gives it that name, in which case, an article is often disallowed. In this case,Wroshyr trees are seen inThe Rebellion Begins, so a canon article can be created.ProfessorTofty (talk) 23:59, January 27, 2015 (UTC)

Irregularity[]

Just saying but later down in the page, towards the end, it says the oldest tree was dying. It also mentioned that it was several millennia old. Now earlier it was also stated that the lifespan of these trees were normally around tens of thousands of years old. Since a single millennium consists of a thousand years, how can the oldest tree be a couple of thousands of years old? It makes no sense.

I am not an avid Star Wars fan, I came upon this entirely by accident. I do believe someone else should read through and fix these irregularities.Cadeyrn of Kearney I (talk) 06:58, November 30, 2016 (UTC)
