TheTagge Corporation,[4] also known asTaggeCo,[8] was a company owned and operated by theHouse of Tagge[1] that was headquartered withinTagge Space.[10]
History[]
The company was known to heavily invest in the research ofGungan technology.[11] In the lastdecades of theGalactic Republic, it was notably involved in marketing and distributingfood products. At the time, the company'scentral strategy planning offices were located onCoruscant.[8] During thereign of theGalactic Empire, the company also maintainedmining operations[1] and scientific research,[10] including into the creation of weapons.[3]
By3 ABY,[12] the company was headed byLadyDomina Tagge,[4] who also led the company'sExecutive Board. Domino was protected by anHonor Guard. Domino was aided by hersecretary,Lapin Tagge.[3] Thecolony on the moon ofGortus 4 signed over its rights to its moon to TaggeCo[4] in 3 ABY,[12] with Domina quickly ordering Lapin to have TaggeCo'sConstruction Division set up an ore factory on moon by the end of the week.[4]
A power struggle emerged when Domina's nephew,Ronen Tagge, attempted to usurp control of the company. Allying withCrimson Dawn andSana Starros' crew, Ronen launched afull-scale battle for control of Tagge Space. In truth, however,Sana Starros had made a deal with Domina that she would help get rid of Ronen. Overplaying his hand, Ronen's efforts ended up failure when he underestimated Domina'saide,Lapin Tagge. Having outright mentioned his alliance with Crimson Dawn and his attack having cost company lives, Domina was free to execute her nephew. Due to her help, Starros declared that her crew's debts to the Tagge Corporation were repaid and that she was owed a new ship.[10]
