TheSubLight Acceleration Motor, also known as theSLAM,^[1] was an overdrive system that rerouted asublight engine's energy for acceleration bursts. TheSRB42 engines of theMillennium Falcon, a heavily customizedYT-1300f light freighter, were equipped with one such device.^[2]
