Squadron Four was one of sixsquadrons that formed the204th Imperial Fighter Wing, afighter wing of theGalactic Empire, led byCaptainJothal Gablerone.^[2] They undertook a mission toVnex, reporting back toColonelShakara Nuress onOrbital One. The squadron later pursued theNew Republic pilotsYrica Quell andChass na Chadic during theattack on Pandem Nai but failed to eliminate the pair.^[1]

In the2019 novelAlphabet Squadron, the first instalment ofAlexander Freed'sStar Wars: Alphabet Squadron trilogy, Squadron Four was mentioned, while a squadron led by Jothal Gablerone also appeared.^[1] Squadron Four was later confirmed to be Gablerone's squadron in the2020 novelShadow Fall: An Alphabet Squadron Novel, the second novel in Freed's trilogy.^[2]
