TheSpectral was anInterdictor-class heavy cruiser that was in service to theGalactic Empire during itsreign ofthe galaxy. It was commanded byAdmiralEktol Traz. At somepoint, it crashed onto thestarship graveyard on theplanetJakku after suffering damage fromrebel pilotLieutenantBak Rychuk.[1]
History[]
Admiral Ektol Traz served as the commander of theSpectral
TheSpectral left theImperial Drydock atKuat'sDrive Yards and was sent toFondor'sShipyards. There, it provided cover for the star destroyers attempting to flee before the New Republic fleet arrived. TheSpectralfought the New Republic'sShepherd Squadron untilAdmiralRae Sloane[4]—or actually the loyalists controlling the Empire in her place[7]—ordered remaining Star Destroyers toJakku. However, theSpectral'scommander, AdmiralEktol Traz continued the battle and deployed his fighters.[4]
As Shepherd Squadron closed in to attack, Admiral Traz ordered theSpectral to jump tohyperspace. Unbeknownst to theSpectral's crew, Shepherd Two, Lt.Bak Rychuk was dragged into hyperspace with theSpectral. Admiral Traz was informed of this and attempted to open fire on Rychuk's Y-wing to no avail. TheSpectral arrived at Jakku andtractored Rychuk'sY-wing into it's hangar. Unfortunately, Rychuk'sY-wing had breached theSpectral's focusing dome and forced to power down theSpectral.[4]
As Rychuk was confronted by theSpectral'sstormtroopers,Zeetoo-Zeetoo was ordered to overload theSpectral'sreactor coil or shut down it's life support. Zeetoo, instead, activated theSpectral's starboard maneuvering thrusters and pushed it out of Jakku's orbit. As theSpectral's orbit decayed, itsengine ignitors became unresponsive and theSpectral was falling fast. When the Rebel fleet arrived, Admiral Traz ordered all hands to abandon ship. As he made his way to his command shuttle, Traz'ssecurity droid,K-8Z8, held him back and told him he could not abandon ship. Traz named K-8Z8 as theSpectral's captain and made his way to anescape pod with Rychuk. Only K-8Z8 and Zeetoo were left aboard as theSpectral crash-landed on Jakku and was buried in the sand.[4]
