As the crew were unloading crates from thestarship, aChagrian crew member was overheard saying to aKyuzo colleague, "All right, sleemo. Boss saidhe wanted all of these off the ship." After a trio ofJedi Initiates who had heard theirdistress signal invited them all to join them onStarlight Beacon,Chigg addressed the rest of the crew, saying, "You hear that, sleemos? We're going to Starlight Beacon!"[6]

AsDahara reviewed plans with five of her enforcers[7] in228 BBY,[8] one of them,Filly, expressed, in a raspy, backwater accent, her wish to eliminate "thesleemoTempest Runner" who hadtortured andkilledMyarga the Merciless. During the same mission,Zenny Greylark toldChuro the Hutt that she would prefer to trust those pursuing them over aHutt. She also voiced her frustration about the situation, as there always seemed to be aplanet at war or some "sleemo in agas mask" terrorizing civilians. At the same time, Republic Defense CoalitionpilotLexi Greylark blasted at the "Nihil sleemos" from her post.[7]

That sameyear,[9]Nihil memberPagunt attempted to contact theGrim Devourer II after thepiratestarship entered theValo system, but was scolded by theZabrak pirateZyle Keem, who was fed up with having to deal with Nihil. When Pagunt warned the crew that they were about to be boarded, the angry Zabrak reminded Pagunt that they were pirates, yelling "You don't board us, sleemo!! We board you!!"[10]

Around33 BBY,[11] on the[12]moon[13]Nar Shaddaa,[12] human[14]bounty hunterJango Fett inquired with aLannik if they knew the thief that stole theHope of Glee Anselm. Fett responded by calling the Lannik a "sleemo" forstarving thek'lor'slug and removed theshock collar from her.[12]

In32 BBY,[15] asTatooine nativehumanAnakin Skywalker, in preparation for theBoonta Eve Classic, adjusted hispodracer,Dug rivalSebulba taunted theyoungboy. Skywalker remained steadfast and insulted the Dug using "sleemo," while Sebulba retaliated by calling Skywalker "bantha poodoo."[16]

Later that year,[15]Jabba the Hutt was deceived into believing that Skywalker, now a Jedi Knight, was coming to hispalace tokill him, leading theHutt to label Skywalker as "Jedi sleemo."[18]

Later that year,[15] thebounty hunterCad Bane boasted about his triumph over the captive PadawanAhsoka Tano. In response, Tano retorted, "Enjoy this while you can, sleemo," warning him that the burningfrigate was on the verge of destroying them both.[20]

During theattempted kidnapping of Roo-Roo Page[21] in 21 BBY,[15] Bane snuck into Page's room inJan-gwa city, only to find Tano waiting for him, warning him, "Don't move, sleemo!"[21]
