Sithspawn mutants, originally aTwi'lek,Mon Calamari,Gamorrean, andWookiee.
Sithspawn were creatures altered bySith alchemy for use by theSith Order. Using genetic engineering together with thedark side of the Force, Sithspawn were remade to be more brutal, more cunning, and, in some cases, more intelligent.
Notable Sithspawn included theTuk'ata,[2] the mutatedMassassi caste of theSith species onYavin 4,[3]Exar Kun'sTerentatek monsters andbattle hydras,[4] the rebornEmperorPalpatine'schrysaliderancors,[5]Leviathans,[4]swamp wampas, mutatedNoghri,Smoke Demons,dart flowers, the twoDark JediGorc andPic,Tenebrae'sMonoliths, and, believed to be the worst Sith abominations,Technobeasts. They could fight with chain manipulation and could have offspring as well.
Thedarkstaff, an ancientSith artifact, had the power to turn creatures into Sithspawn, and in about19 BBY, theHumanLen Markus used the staff to mutate someMulissiki on theplanetCularin.[6]
"Sithspawn" was also used as a swear word.[7] It could also be used as a metaphor for a contemptible person (e.g. "He's the Sithspawn who gave us up to theImps")[8] or to emphasize a statement (e.g. "nervous as Sithspawn").[7]
