Signal eradicator[1] was a type of communications scrambler. They were installed in theHigh Council Tower of theJedi Temple onCoruscant, with the central topmast incorporating multi-frequency eradicator/scrambler. They scrambled attempts to pinpoint location ofJedi in the field by locking on to their communications with the Temple.[2] During theBattle of Murkhana, theGalactic Republic forces were equipped withS-thread jammers, signal eradicators, andHoloNet chafing devices.[1]
