Republic Day was a holiday celebrating the foundation of theGalactic Republic[1] characterized by many fireworks and parades, as well as many stores conducting half-price sales, especially onCoruscant. It was celebrated on the nineteenth day of the third month of theGalactic Standard Calendar. After the fall of the Republic, it became known asRemembrance Day.
