Behind the scenes[]

The RX-series pilot droid originally appeared inStar Tours, a simulator ride that operated at Disney Parks worldwide from1987 to2016, and its successor/prequel,Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, from2012 to the present. In the original attraction, RX-series droidRX-24 (aka "Rex") serves as the pilot for riders'StarSpeeder 3000flight toEndor.
