The sector largely consisted of a string of unimportant industrialplanets strung along an offshoot of thePerlemian Trade Route; in turns the industrial planets are connected to clusters of agricultural andmining planets.^[2]

TheGromas system became briefly notable whenphrikite deposites were discovered on itsmoons, bringing some exploring and prospecting activity. It was then confiscated by theImperial. During theDark Trooper Project,warships were seen on the sector's lanes for some time, as Gromas was the center of their phrikitemining. That was until their facility onGromas 16 wassabotaged and the Project ended, allowing prospectors to return to Gromas.^[2]

TheGromasMines Cooperative was established to resolve the new claims to the Gromas moons. Its operations brought a new wave of prosperity for the sector.^[2]

ThePerkell Sector Mining Fleecing was pulled off by theRed & Black League ofHerstell V.
