"Nubs-tacle Course" is the sixth short ofSeason 2 of the animated seriesStar Wars: Young Jedi Adventures, and the twelfth short overall. It was released onAugust 2,2024.^[1]

Plot summary[]

TheJedi Initiates - includingKai Brightstar,Nubs,Lys Solay, andDjovi Resmia - gather at the obstacle course on thetraining grounds of theTenoo Jedi Temple.Jedi MasterZia Zaldor Zanna explains that MasterYoda has come to see how they have progressed in their Jedi training. Brightstar, Nubs and Solay are excited. Nubs gets a bit too eager and trips on a log, causing him to bump into Master Yoda. Yoda addresses Nubs, telling him that he has to stay calm in order to do well on the obstacle course.

Master Zia encourages Brightstar to go first. Brightstar easily sweeps through the first section of the course which involves dodging swinging logs. After climbing a ladder, he then has to duel withtraining droids while navigating through several wooden trunks. The third part involves climbing up a platform using a rope and grabbing the beacon. The otheryounglings and Master Zia cheer and clap their hands.

Master Zia allows Nubs to go next while Solay cheers him on. Nubs goes through the swing logs obstacle course but is struck by the final log. Lys then commented that's got to hurt. Nubs recovers from the head blow and progresses through the second section, which involves fighting with training droids while navigating through the wooden trucks. Nubs loses the fight by stabbing in the behind and falls off his log earning a recoil of pain from the younglings even Masters Yoda and Zia while a Rodian youngling covers his eyes and the two training droids give their blades a "high five." Nubs climbs the rope to the wooden platform but is troubled by abifflefly, which rubs him in the face, causing him to fall off with Yoda groaned.

Out of frustration, Nubs kicks a circular wooden trunk carving but hurts his foot. Sensing his frustration, Yoda speaks with Nubs and encourages Nubs to stay calm and trust in the Force. Trying the obstacle course again, Nubs uses the Force to dodge the swinging logs. He then fights off the training droids before using a rope to scale the platform. Nubs loses his grip but manages to hold on with his feet. He climbs back up the rope and retrieves the beacon. Master Zia and the younglings cheer him on.

Following the obstacle course, Yoda praises Nubs for staying calm even when faced with difficult. Nubs mutters his agreement inPoobian. Solay and Brightstar asks if he wants to try the course again. Nubs collapses with exhaustion and mutters no. The three younglings laugh joyfully.
