Anavigation computer was acomputer used to make the necessary calculations to navigate at faster-than-light speeds known ashyperspace.[1] It was also sometimes known as anavicomputer[2] ornav computer.[3]
Although navicomputers were used in most of the knowngalaxy, they functioned poorly in theUnknown Regions. As a result, the peoples of the Unknown Regions usedForce-sensitivenavigators with the power ofprecognition instead of navicomputers.[4] In particular, theChiss Ascendancy used Force-sensitive children known asozyly-esehembo as navigators.[5]
TheassassinOchi ofBestoon had his navicomputer wipe clean to cover his tracks and keep his secret assignment hidden.[6]
