Themission to Bilbousa,[1] also known as theattack on Bilbousa,[4] was a secretdiplomatic mission undertaken by members of theJedi Order toNal Hutta during theHigh Republic Era. Members of theHutt Clan led byMyarga Anjiliac Atirue had made an alliance with theJedi in order tofight theDrengir, viciouscarnivorous plants which had emerged across theOuter Rim Territories. TheHutts had subsequently requested anenvoy be sent to theirhomeworld, but not all of the Hutts approved of the alliance.[1]Jedi MasterObratuk Glii,[4] an experienced diplomat, was sent toBilbousa with thePadawansFarzala Tarabal andQort aboard thestarshipVessel, which had been hired for the job along with its crew. However, Obratuk fell into aParwanseasonal hibernation before he even arrived, leading Tarabal to lead the negotiations.

However, after Tarabal andLeox Gyasi left to negotiate withSkarabda the Hutt, a group of thugs sent by the Huttcrime lordJabba Desilijic Tiure hijacked theVessel and attacked Skarabda'spalace, leading the Hutt diplomat and her head of securityIshnar Ti-Kharatal to believe a double-cross had occurred. At the same time, the Drengir attacked Bilbousba.[1] Jabba had planned to remove the Jedi from the situation so that they could not help against the Drengir's attack, making it seem necessary for him to bring his forces to the palace and take control to fight the Drengir, and thus usurping Skarabda out of power.[4] Tarabal managed to gain Ishnar's gratitude by saving the Nikto from a Drengir while he and Gyasi had attempted to escape, but the two were still recaptured. Onboard theVessel, thenavigatorGeode retook control of the ship from the hijackers, as the thugs did not understand theVintian's nature and thought he was a "creepy rock" thing. However, Qort andAffie Hollow were forced to hide as the thugs hunted for them.[1]
