Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc., also known asMSM, was one of the three top weapons manufacturers inthe galaxy during the time of theNew Republic, falling only slightly belowBlasTech in total revenues.
The company boasted a huge line of personal and vehicle weapons in addition to artillery and starship weapons, electronic targeting systems, and personal defenses. Subsidiary companies produced everything from heavy artillery to siege weapons. They also rounded out their product line with electronic sights, armor, and other targeting equipment.
History[]
Merr-Sonn had been in existence for thousands of years and first began its rise to power during theGreat Sith War and theMandalorian Wars, during both of which the company sold weapons to theMandalorians. Merr-Sonn did well again during theClone Wars, providing weapons and equipment to theConfederacy of Independent Systems and theGalactic Republic. The company was neutral during theGalactic Civil War—because its holdings were very widely spread out—and remained highly autonomous during theNew Republic era.[4]
