MD-5 was anMD-5 medical droid assigned to theImperial NavyEF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate. Its service carried over once the ship's crewmutined and took over control of the vessel. MD-5 was the ship's general practitioner droid, performing regular check ups on the crew and minor surgical procedures. The droid was assisted byMD-0, who saw the patients and diagnosed them prior to MD-5 seeing them.^[1]
