History[]

Lola Sayu was conquered by theConfederacy of Independent Systems early in theClone Wars, placing theCitadel under Separatist control.^[4] During the Clone Wars, around21 BBY,^[5]Jedi MasterEven Piell was brought to Lola Sayu and imprisoned at theConfederate prison known as theCitadel forvital information he carried. A strike team was sent torescue him and hisfleet officers,^[2] but because their ship was destroyed in the attempt to escape,^[3] an entire fleet of Republic ships arrived to rescue them and the planet became a site of a large battle.^[6]
