Loader droids,loadlifter droids,cargo droids, orfreight droids orpacking droids were a classification of generallabor droid used to move heavy cargo and other material.Binary loadlifters were a classification of loader droid that could only communicate inBinary.
Lando Calrissian hired several of these at hisGemDiver Station nearYavin around23 ABY. During theSecond Imperium'sraid on the station, two of these were encountered by theSolo twins andLowbacca who were trying to evade the Imperial boarders. Later, these two droids were destroyed by the Imperial boarders.
