History[]

Zam Wesell'sKoro-2 onCoruscant
Zam Wesell'sKoro-2 was the assassin's personal model, used as a lean, speedy getaway vehicle. Designed to survive in hostile environments, the pressurized cockpit had a two-week air supply. Zam's speeder featured no offensive weapons, relying strictly on speed and agility—or, on occasion, Zam'sblaster pistol, fired out the window at fleeing targets or pursuing law enforcers. Acquired on one of the billions of heavily metallic worlds controlled by theMining Guild, Zam went against the designer's wishes to keep the vehicle on hostile planets by introducing it to the urban planets ofDenon andCoruscant.
Her airspeeder had a printed registration sticker as a mining permit for theTeraab sector. The cockpit also contained special oils for theClawdite's use. The left mandible held a secret compartment for her sniper rifle. Additionally, the vehicle contained room in a compartment for herASN-121assassin droid.
After her attempt to assassinatePadmé Amidala on Coruscant failed, Zam fled from theSenator'sJedibodyguards in her waiting airspeeder. Zam led the Jedi on a wild chase throughGalactic City, thoughAnakin Skywalker managed to jump onto her speeder, and in the struggle that followed, Zam accidentally damaged the controls. TheKoro-2 spun out of control, crashing intoVos Gesal Street in theUscru District. Zam left the flaming wreckage behind, seeking refuge in theOutlander Club. She was killed shortly thereafter byJango Fett.
Koro-2 airspeeders were still in use as of12 ABY, on worlds such as Coruscant.
