Characteristics[]
- "There have been no unauthorized ships leaving Kamino, General."
"I sense we are looking in the wrong place." - ―A clone trooper and Shaak Ti[1]
A highly-efficient military force was active onKamino during theClone Wars.[4]Clone troopers of the unit worephase II clone trooper armor that bore similar markings[1] to those of theclone shock troopers of theCoruscant Guard.[5] Distinctly from theCoruscant Guard, however, thecolor scheme of the Kamino securityclonetroopers was that it was a shade of gray, rather than red, and the Kamino security logo was featured on their shoulder padarmor.[1]
As a military unit, they were led by aClone Captain andJedi GeneralShaak Ti[1] who oversaw clone trooper training.[6]Chief Medical ScientistNala Se also had authority over security forces.[1] When theTipoca City Military Complex was in a state of alarm, Kamino security forces protected theKaminoanPrime MinisterLama Su.[7] They were armed withDC-15A blaster rifles andDC-15A blaster carbines.[1]
History[]
Service to the Republic[]
- "We have a report from the Genetic Records Hall."
"Explain."
"Someone is accessing the Jango Fett genotype." - ―A clone trooper officer and Shaak Ti[1]

The Kamino security forces were placed on alert following a false alarm placed by CT-5555.
During the Clone Wars between theGalactic Republic and theSeparatist Alliance, the Republic-world of Kamino fell under attack by Separatist forces, culminating in theBattle of Kamino. Kamino was a crucial world, as it housed the facilities of theGrand Army of the Republic that trained, garrisoned, and produced the clone troopers of the Republic. Forces that defended Kamino in the battle consisted of the501st Legion and theRancor Battalion.[8]
By theBattle of Ringo Vinda, however, Kamino maintained its own security force. They were present throughoutTipoca City whenAdvanced Recon CommandoCT-5555 "Fives" andCT-5385 "Tup" were given examinations due to anincident where Tupmurdered aJediGeneral, but was believed that the cause was a medical issue. When Fives created a false alarm in order to examine Tup himself, the Kamino security forces sprang into action at the command center, while a contingent escorted Kaminoan Prime Minister Lama Su and Chief MedicalScientist Nala Se.[7]
The security group once again sprang into action during Fives'escape from Tipoca City, when Fives rebelled and decided to keep investigating the matters surrounding Tup and overall biology of clone troopers, as he believed the entire Grand Army was compromised. Thistime, the security force'sclone trooper officer was more involved, and directly reported to Shaak Ti. Eventually, the security forces were in a brief standoff with Fives, and after Shaak Ti listened to Fives' evidence, the situation was defused.[1]
Service to the Empire[]
- "The Republic will be reorganized into the first Galactic Empire!"
- ―Sheev Palpatine[3]

Kamino security troopers stood in formation as they listened to an address given by Emperor Palpatine.
The security forces on Kamino remained active through the rest of the Clone Wars, and remained active during theproclamation of the New Order when the Galactic Republic transformed into theGalactic Empire. The troopers of the Kamino security group were in formation alongside other clone brethren, includingClone Force 99, whenGalactic Emperor, formerlySupreme Chancellor,Sheev Palpatine gave his declaration.[3]
