Plot summary[]

Imperial broadcasterAlton Kastle gave a glowing report of the Imperial authorities' destruction of a controversial statue on the nearby planet ofGarel by theBith artistJanyor; which he termed an "eyesore". In recent years, the ImperialCoalition for Progress, a division of theCommission for the Preservation of the New Order, had scrutinized the statue because it had allegedly fallen into disrepair and become an issue of public safety. A few dissidents staged animpromptu protest but were quickly neutralized by the local authorities.
