Arakyd IndustriesHL-444 hover loaders werelabor droid deployed on landing platforms throughoutCoruscant, assisting in light cargo relocation anddroid traffic control with magnetic claws. They could also be found in theJedi Temple hangars. The model employed a lightrepulsorlift engine, and required an operator versed inbinary in order to function. Seeing in a 360 degree view, the droid could avoid potential obstacles while moving cargo; however it could not see directly above, or below itself.

They were also deployed tohyperspace ring stations, where they assisted in the refueling ofJedi andclone trooperstarfighters.

After the purging of the Jedi Temple, HL-444 loaders were used to carry dead Jedi to be cremated on the steps in front of the temple.
