Flight Simulator Squadron gameplay
Flight Simulator Squadron was aflight simulatorhologame in which a player raced against another in astarship while avoidingasteroids and an occasionalexogorth that could pop up from the top of the screen. The game utilized gesture controls from the player in order to pilot[1] the computer-generated[2] starship, requiring players to move their bodies to play.Flight Simulator Squadron also includedmusic that would play during the game. In total, there were three versions of the game.[1] There were other games similar toFlight Simulator Squadron, such as thearcade gameSpace Slug Slam 6,[3] which featured similar graphics and challenges but involved a single player interacting with a 2D monitor and piloting thestarfighter with two shiftable sticks.[4]
History[]

Kazuda Xiono was excited to playFlight Simulator Squadron.
ThehumanAceTorra Doza owned the three versions of the game inher quarters on therefueling stationColossus.[1] In34 ABY,[5] Doza'sfatherImanuel restricted her from flying due to the presence of theFirst Order on thestation, so Doza was left to playFlight Simulator Squadron instead of flying her ship,[1] theBlue Ace.[6] Later, when speaking with her friend, themechanic andpilotKazuda Xiono, and complaining about her flight restrictions, she sullenly said that the only flying she could do was playFlight Simulator Squadron. Xiono was excited to learn that she owned the game, and Doza happily invited him to her quarters inDoza Tower to play. The two proceeded to sneak into the tower, as Doza was not allowed to have guests, but eventually made it to her room. The two played one of the versions of the game until thesecurity droid4D-M1N approached, causing them to abort the game so Xiono could hide.[1]
