Flare

Aflare was a pyrotechnic device commonly used as a signal in the absence of communications. They were oftencolor-coded so their meaning could be understood quickly.

History[]

During theBattle of Christophsis,GeneralAnakin Skywalker fired four flares from aRepublicIPV-2C Stealth Corvette, which acted as decoys for the incomingtracking torpedoes. After launching the flares, Skywalker cloaked the stealthship, and the torpedoes veered away from the stealth ship and into one of the flares.^[1]

Domino Squad memberHevy used a flare to warn CaptainRex and CommanderCody about thedroid commandos at theRishi Moon'soutpost.^[2]
