TheFirst Order All Terrain Scout Transport (AT-ST) was a model ofAll Terrain Scout Transportwalker manufactured byKuat-Entralla Drive Yards and fielded by theFirst Order. Clad in next-generation reinforced compositearmor, this updated design's improved gyroscopic systems made it more stable than preceding AT-ST models used by theGalactic Empire.[1]

Although it was based on theGalactic Empire'sAT-ST design, theFirst Order All TerrainScoutTransport possessed several modest updates. The scout walker's gyroscopic systems were improved, which stabilized its balance, and, because of new breakthroughs in lightweight materials, the AT-ST's armored shell was upgraded, along with improved weapons systems.[4]

Unlike the AT-STs used by theGalactic Empire, which had a separate viewport for each of the two crew members, the First Order AT-ST's cockpit had one long viewport across its front.[1]

When the First Orderattacked theplanetDemir, thearmy deployed an AT-ST to clear a path to theDemirian stronghold. Once in position,CaptainPhasma ordered forherstormtroopers to stop their advance so the walker could fulfill its purpose. However, theDemirians were able to take down the vehicle, forcing Phasma to employ a different plan.[3]

One such AT-ST stored in thehangar of theSupremacy was hijacked byBB-8 to rescueFinn andRose Tico from stormtroopers.[2] AT-STs, along withFirst Order All Terrain Armored Transports andAAL-1971/9.1 Troop Transports, were also stored aboard theResurgent-class Star Destroyer commanded byAgentTierny andCommanderPyre.[5]
