Extragalactic

Extragalactic orextra-galactic was a term for objects situated, occurring, or originating outside thegravitationalbounds ofthe galaxy.

History[]

Notable extra-galactic and alleged extra-galactic species included theYuuzhan Vong and theChazrach,^[2] theKwa,^[3] theNagai andTofs (originating inFirefist),^[4] and theSilentium andAbominor droid species^[5] which may have originated in theYuuzhan Vong's home galaxy. Thesentient ship (and its pilot)Luke andLeia encountered also originated in another galaxy.^[6]

TheInterGalactic Banking Clan had influence as far as theRishi Maze andFirefist.^[7]

TheSith EmperorVitiate, when telling theHero of Tython his plans for his galaxy-destroying ritual, said that there were other galaxies beyond theirs and that he would experience or ignore them as he wished. This implied that he, or theSith Empire, had means of reaching these locations—assuming the galaxy-destroying ritual would not also consume thehyperspace disturbance at the edge of the galaxy.^[1]

At some point during the height of theGalactic Empire, theImperial Senate issued Intergalactic Passports to allow the owner to travel throughout the six known galaxies.^[8] In addition,Arhul Hextrophon in a guest lecture for theBrionelle Memorial Military Academy speculated thatEmperorPalpatine by the time of his resurrection and ruling of theDark Empire may have planned to eventually engage in extra-galactic conquest due to his usage ofWorld Devastators.^[9]
